People really get to me sometimes. And when I say sometimes I mean basically all the time. I seem to be really really good at letting people annoy me. I try really hard to not let things get to me but that in and of itself is pretty darn difficult. It seems like every time I turn around someone else is finding a way to jokingly insult me or tear me down in some way, shape, or form and I'm not a huge fan of that. There's not doubt the high school girls are by far the worst. We seem to fine immense joy in finding and making known everyone else's faults and making them feel terrible about it. Sounds awesome, right? I really hope you said no....
So here's my stance: what's the point? Does tearing other people down really make you feel like a better person? Does is make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? If it does then you might want to go see some one about that....There's no point in carrying on the typical high school girl bitchy attitude. It may make you feel good for a second, but that's just about the only satisfaction that will come from it.
What's the solution? Think before you speak. Is what you're about to say really necessary? How would you feel if someone said something like that to you? I bet not. Don't tear those around you down to the ground and ruin their days, weeks, or even lives. We weren't put on this earth to make enemies, we were put here to love one another and build each other up. We're not doing a very good job of that (me included) and need to work on it, a lot.
Chew on that, and watch what you've got to say to those around you.
xoxo,
Abby just Abby
